Lake Norman Monster Sightings

Went kayaking and had a huge fish the length of my kayak swam right beside me up one of the covers. If it was a catfish, this was seriously the biggest catfish I have ever seen.

I was down on the pier crappie fishing and there were seagulls feeding on baitfish about 50 yards from the dock. I was looking at them and I noticed something sticking out of the water, but it was moving.

I was paddle boarding in my cove and saw a 6-8 foot dark figure just below the surface, about 10 feet from shore.

Not a sighting but heard an extremely large being splashing into the water while sitting on my Airbnb dock. My boyfriend and I were about to head in when the sound came from across the dark void of the lake.

I stared down into the water and saw to my shock that the depths of the lake were illuminated with a ghostly white light.

I saw it from a distance, but it looked to be a catfish as big as a school bus. It was absolutely breathtaking.
